SOIL

Argillferous earth (red clay) with some limestone and layers of sand.

CLIME

After a cold winter with few rainfall a cold spring delayed the shoot. Later on the year the really high temperaturs were challenging. durnig some time the cycle of vegetation stopprd. Smart temperatures in September balanced it a little bit, the phenols could ripe well.

VINEYARDS

In Anguix, San Miguel farm, (0.65 ha) planted in a glass 88 years ago, on a field with a notable slope to the north. On the upper part the soil is really compact, red clay. They ripen difficult in difficult years but optimal in normal years. Loose and small clusters with very low yields due to age.

HARVEST

On September, 30th , 2016. Grapes are picked manually, strongly seected, de-temmed. The must ferments by only the yeast of the grapes. Over-all maceration period: twelve days

AGEING

The malolactic fermentation is run in oak-barrels. In these barrels the wine afterwards ages during fourteen months
